11. WHAT IF IT RAINS OR IS WINDY?

We at Chris's Castles Bouncy Castle Hire Wakefield have a policy of safety first. Light sporadic rain is acceptable, long prolonged rain or strong winds forecasted will mean your bouncy castle may be cancelled on the grounds of safety. However, if you are unlucky to catch a shower it is advised that castles are switched off in adverse & wet conditions due to safety reasons as described in our health & safety section located at the top of this page.
Most of our inflatables are fitted with a rain cover, however, this cannot guarantee 100% rain protection due to the nature of the inflatables. when an inflatable bounces around the roof is bound to move around and rain will leak in slightly.
Also it is a brief rain/ shower cover and not designed to be in use in torrential downpours, especially given that the back and front of the inflatable has at least a 12ft hole in the front : ) Please bear this in mind when selecting an inflatable.
Please bear in mind that all our items are weather sensitive. Inflatables being more sensitive than most. Our policy is that we will not turn up in any weather condition and install the equipment as agreed. Safety is paramount and although items may be installed they may not be suitable for use during some conditions such as wind, rain and other potentially dangerous factors. We will not compromise on safety and our decision is final, regardless of the loss of revenue or expense on your part. Please see Terms and conditions for further details.

Please remember that inflatables shall not be used in wind conditions above 24 mph and/or in wet conditions. The hire'r will remain responsible for suitable action to be taken to avoid injury unless our staff has been provided to assist at an additional cost.

The Beaufort scale of wind force has been listed below to assist us with inclement weather decisions. After all safety is paramount!

This is done to avoid confusion, the price of certain entertainment varies depending on mainly the location and date of the hire, if it requires staffing, generators, 3rd party hire equipment or the number of days required, Therefore the price listed is the base price and varies based on all of these factors, However in 99% of these cases, the price is the price so don’t panic. Most of our items can fit through standard doors so this shouldn't be a problem, However, some of our inflatables are huge and will require a proper entrance so please advise us of your access type at the time of booking to avoid disappointment on the day.
Bouncy castles are often bigger and heavier than most people expect and use large sack trucks to move them. Unfortunately if it should rain, water will get inside the inflatable and this tends to drain out whilst being removed..sometimes on your carpet so please bear this in mind as we cannot be responsible for any damages should they occur due to the castle being wet or general damage from the castle being taken through your house, always check with us on booking that the inflatable you have chosen will fit through a doorway. 37. DO BOUNCY CASTLES EXPLODE?

NO Bouncy Castles 100% do not explode.

The inflatable that exploded on the news was an inflatable trampoline and NOT a bouncy castle. The fear at the moment is coming from a complete lack of understanding of the difference between a bouncy castle and sealed trampoline.
The trampoline was a pressurised unit that was inflated to a ridiculously high pressure of around 150psi to be able to fire children into the air. Bouncy castles are completely different and do not run in the same way at all. They are soft in nature and have constant cool air leakage through the sewing seams.
A bouncy castle runs from a constant air source at only 0.1psi which is 300x less than a child's bicycle tyre for example and therefore 100% impossible to explode.
we understand the panic hype from the media portraying a bad light of inflatables and tarnishing the industry with the same brush but the Sun, Telegraph, ITV, Channel 4, The Mirror, Sky News, Harlow Police have all retracted previous statements about bouncy castles and now ensure they are perfectly safe.

38, DO YOU PROVIDE STAFFING/ SUPERVISION?

No sorry.
