When we accept your booking we do so in good faith and will make every effort to deliver and install your equipment on time as agreed, however some times the weather in and around the Wakefield District can interfere with those plans.

The maximum safe wind speed for operating inflatables is 24mph including gusts, and setting up in these conditions could lead to serious injury or death and would invalidate our insurance. Heavy and/or prolonged rain is additionally unsafe to use inflatables. For these reasons we will not set up if the Met Office is predicting winds or gusts above this speed. Rain so heavy that it makes the bounce bed wet is also deemed dangerous due to slips trips and falls.

We as a responsible Bouncy Castle Hire Company, therefore we will put the safety of you and your family first before profit. We adhere to the Health and Safety requirements and good practice as set out in the Register of Play Inspectors International to which we as a company are affiliated trained, tested and deemed competent.

We will try to wait as long as possible before we make the final decision as to whether or not cancel your booking due to adverse weather conditions forecasted for the day, this is because the weather predictions can sometimes be incorrect on the evening or night before and can prove favourable or not on the morning of your hire.

You may cancel your booking as soon as you feel you need to but bear in mind we need a minimum of 24 hours notice. No cost is incurred if you cancel before the 24 hour time notice.

We have for your ease of use included on our website a weather checker app for the local area for you for guidance.

If your booking is likely to be affected, we will call or text you on the telephone number you have provided, explaining the details of the potential forecast and cancellation. If the forecast does not change by the morning of your hire we will telephone or text you on the morning of your booking making you aware of the health and safety and weather conditions for the day and unfortunately inform you we have taken the decision to cancel outdoor bookings due to the weather conditions. If suitable alternative arrangements can be made we will deliver your inflatable.

If no suitable alternative arrangements cannot be agreed we will cancel your booking and refund any monies already paid.*

*Please note: While we will process your refund immediately, different payment providers have differing processes and timescales for effecting these refunds, and they can take up to approximately 21 days to complete. Chris's Castles can not and will not accept any liability for any delays in monies reaching your account.

• Although we will make every effort to ensure that we deliver your product, in some instances we will be unable to and we reserve the right to cancel any booking at any time. Our liability will be strictly limited to any monies already paid, up to a maximum of your total hire cost.
• Refunds (if you have paid a deposit) are given when we are unable to deliver on your booking due to adverse weather as determined by our staff, vehicle failure, or staff illness - in all other circumstances the deposit/booking fee is non-refundable but can be transferred to a new booking within 12 calendar months of the date of the original booking. Please be aware that refunds may take up to 21 days to process, though we do make every effort to process these in a much shorter timescale.
• BSEN 14960:2013 and the HSE state that it is unsafe to operate an inflatable in winds exceeding 24mph including gusts. If winds or gusts in excess of 24mph are forecast by the Met Office, we will unfortunately have to rearrange or cancel your booking. In the first instance we will attempt to rearrange to a mutually convenient date or indoor venue, if this is not acceptable we will refund any monies already paid.
• We require our Terms and Conditions to be signed on installation.
